We’ve all had moments where something just felt right, or didn’t. Maybe you turned down a job that looked perfect on paper, or decided to call a friend out of the blue, only to find they really needed to hear from you. That nudge is your intuition.
In a world full of opinions, advice, and information, it’s easy to second-guess what we feel deep down. We’re often taught to rely on logic and reason, which are of course important, but sometimes that gut feeling gets pushed aside.
The trouble is, when we ignore our intuition for too long, we can start to feel disconnected from ourselves, unsure of what we really want or what feels right.
Intuition isn’t always a big moment of realisation. You might notice your intuition in moments like:
Choosing to delay a big decision.
Taking a pause before responding to something that triggers you
Recognising when a conversation or environment feels off
You don’t have to overhaul your life to start listening to yourself again
Try:
Slowing down. Intuition is easier to hear when your mind isn’t racing. Even a few quiet minutes in the morning can help.
Checking in with your body. Notice how different situations feel physically. Do you tense up or relax?
Journalling or walking. Writing or moving without a plan can help you process and uncover what you are feeling.
During Reiki sessions, people often find they reconnect with themselves. When the mind settles and the body relaxes, intuition tends to come through more clearly. Reiki doesn’t give you answers, but it can help you get calm enough to hear your own.
Learning to trust your intuition is an ongoing practice. Over time, you may find it becomes easier to make choices that feel aligned and make decisions that bring more ease.
